Bitching for the sake of Bitching. Don’t do it
Don’t you just hate people who sit around and bitch for the sake of bitching? They just sit around and seem to complain. They MIGHT have some idea how to solve the problem, make things better, but that would require effort on their part. Most of them don’t want to make that effort, because bitching is so much easier than doing something.
Many of them complain about how other people do their job. This angers me quite a bit, as it implies that you would do a better job than they would. Do you understand all the issues in their life/job/personal history?
Let me use my job as an example. Members of the administration are put in positions of leadership. It is their job to look at the ‘big picture’ and look at the situations from all angles, get input from different people, etc. and come up with the best decision for the whole unit. What happens when someone gives their heartfelt idea on a subject and the final decision goes contrary to that? Is the correct response to blow up and say that the administrator is screwy on the head? That they don’t deserve that position because they are morons? To those people who complain I ask them if they know all the conditions that led to the final decision. The answer is no almost every time. What do they do? Do they even fathom that their opinion and information might be one small piece in a larger decision? Do they honestly believe that their opinion is the best in every situation? Isn’t that the height of pompous arrogance?
These people are also sometimes happiness suckers. You begin to talk to them and they start complaining. Their negative talk just brings you down, sucking the joy right out of you. Sometimes there is a problem that has been fixed, they will actually sit around and complain about how bad it USED to be. Do they thrive on bad news? Is joy just simply not a trait that these people have? Yikes, it sucks to be them. I try to actively avoid people such as this because they are just no fun. Life is too short. Get over yourself.
